Bath Taps Into Science!
Looking for something to do in Bath next Saturday? Well, how about this?
Bath Taps Into Science is an annual fair, with stalls covering all sorts of topics, like dinosaurs, magnets, slime and more. It’s being put on by the University of Bath, from 10am until 4pm, at Green Park Station (near the big Sainsbury’s).
Why am I telling you this? Quite apart from the fact that this is guaranteed fun for everyone, it just so happens that I’m going to be running a stall. I’ll be bringing a set of exhibits so people can explore energy and forces, from splitting water with electricity to launching ping-pong balls with a bike pump.
It’s all part of National Science and Engineering Week, a UK-wide festial run by the British Science Association. For around 10 days (there’s too much going on to fit it all into a single week!), scientists will be popping up in schools, shopping centres, city streets… everywhere!
So this is a great time to come and get involved. You never know what you might discover!
